The Home Rule Music and Film Preservation Foundation is proud to produce the second season of Movies on the Lawn. Our Summer 2022 season will run from July-October at The Parks at Historic Walter Reed, and will consist of four evenings of live music, engaging and entertaining family-friendly films, and food and beverage offerings from some of the most exciting vendors in DC.
The mission of Movies on the Lawn is an extension of the Home Rule Music and Film Preservation Foundation's purpose: to promote, support and preserve DC music and film through performance, education and advocacy.
Dates and Films: July 23 - HIDDEN FIGURES; August 6 - GOONIES; September 17 - RESPECT; October 15 - ENCANTO.
Time: Live Music at 5:30 • Film Screening at Dusk
Location: The Great Lawn is located at the center of the campus. Enter from 16th Street NW, or enter from Georgia Avenue at Butternut Street NW, and follow Main Drive around to the grassy area.
How to Get There: Parking is limited on the site, so walking or biking is recommended. Bike parking is available on racks and signage throughout the site. Some street parking is available inside The Parks gate, and street parking is also available along Georgia Avenue and Butternut Street NW.
